D Fife in three pieces with tuning slide, hand-crafted from African blackwood by Davy Angus in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland.
The fife features a brass tuning slide, stainless steel rings, and a threaded barrel joint. The three-piece construction allows for adjustment and ease of assembly.
The instrument is straightforward to play and produces a good tone. It is in tune across its range and suits traditional and folk music contexts, making it suitable for session play.
