Solid tone with noticeably more refinement and consistency than mass-produced whistles. The response is even throughout the range, and tuning holds reliably across registers, making it a reliable step up for players ready to move beyond entry-level instruments.
The body is thicker-walled aluminum, which gives this Dixon a feel and character closer to contemporary hand-crafted whistles than to standard sheet-metal construction. Model DX006.
