This low E whistle by Rudder is built in the aluminum low whistle tradition associated with makers such as Overton and Goldie, and shares that lineage’s characteristic tone: open, resonant, and with the soulful quality that players of the style will recognize.
Condition is very good. There are a couple of minor surface marks consistent with the nature of aluminum instruments, but nothing that affects playability. The whistle responds well and plays with good sensitivity across the range. Low E is a less common key and opens up a distinctive modal palette for traditional and folk playing.
