Sonic Stone
- Seven lamellas
- A sort of female counterpart to the more masculine Mulam
Which reaches higher frequencies
- Can also be played by people with smaller hands
- The true potential of the sound and its full expression depend largely on the opening of the mineral ‘pores’—that is, on the material’s responsiveness—which can only be realised through extensive playing combined with attentive listening and sensory engagement; the stone then ‘comes to life’ and reveals its full spectrum and the astonishing richness of its mineral sound vibrations
